Terms of service & participant agreement

Last Updated: September 30, 2026 (version 2026-09-30) • Read carefully before creating an account or registering for any tournament on The Coliseum.

1. Acceptance & eligibility

By creating an account, booking courts, or entering any tournament listed on The Coliseum, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1.1 Account holders must be 18 or older

You must be at least 18 years old to create or hold a Coliseum account. When you sign up you declare that you are 18 or older and accept these Terms, and we record when you did so and which version of the Terms you accepted. We cannot verify age at sign-up and rely on your declaration; a false declaration is a breach of these Terms.

1.2 Athletes under 18

There is no account for an athlete under 18. A parent, legal guardian or coach who holds an account adds the athlete as a Player Profile under their own account, and a parent or legal guardian gives the guardian consent required under our Data Privacy Policy (RA 10173) before the athlete is registered for any tournament. When venue staff register a walk-in athlete under 18 at the desk, the account they create belongs to the parent or guardian who signs the consent, and whoever later claims that account makes the same 18+ declaration. The account holder is responsible for each Player Profile they manage and the information in it.

1.3 Accounts held by minors

If we learn that an account is held by someone under 18, we may suspend it after review and ask a parent, guardian or coach to add the athlete to their own account instead. The minor's personal data is handled under our Data Privacy Policy.

2. Tournament check-in & attendance rules

All registered competitors must complete check-in (online or in-person at the venue desk) prior to the published check-in cutoff time. Failure to check in on time will result in forfeiture of your bracket seed and immediate replacement by designated alternates without fee refund.

3. Manual payment & receipt verification

When opting for manual payment methods (e.g. GCash transfer, bank deposit, cash-on-arrival), participants must upload a legible proof of payment before the stated payment deadline. Falsified or illegible receipts will result in immediate disqualification and platform suspension.

4. Fair play, sportsmanship & integrity

Competitors must uphold high standards of integrity. Cheating, unauthorized third-party modifications, match fixing, bracket tampering, or verbal/physical abuse toward referees, organizers, or fellow players will result in a permanent ban across all affiliated Coliseum venues.

5. Media, broadcast & scoreboard release

By entering tournaments, participants acknowledge that matches may be displayed on public arena TV scoreboards, streamed online, or photographed for promotional and archival purposes, subject to youth protection safeguards detailed in our Privacy Policy.

6. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.
